Strengthening Connections, Enhancing Professionalism
The 6th Hong Kong Public Relations Awards 2025 Celebrates Excellence in the PR Industry
(Hong Kong, 31 December 2025) — The Hong Kong Public Relations Professionals Association (PRPA) proudly hosted the Awards Presentation Ceremony cum Gala Dinner for the 6th Hong Kong Public Relations Awards 2025 (HKPRA) on 30 December 2025, marking another milestone in recognising outstanding achievements and innovation in the public relations industry. Themed “Strengthening Connections, Enhancing Professionalism,” this year’s Awards honoured 32 winners across campaign, individual, student, and special award categories.
Attended by prominent leaders from the business, media, academic, and public relations sectors, the ceremony celebrated the creativity, strategic excellence, and meaningful impact of PR campaigns launched between 1 April 2023 and 31 March 2025. Notably, 30 percent of the entries came from first-time participants, underscoring the Awards’ expanding reach and growing influence across industries.
Professor Anthony Wu, GBS, JP, Chairperson of the Awards Organising Committee, remarked, “This year’s event is especially meaningful as it coincides with PRPA’s 30th anniversary. Over the past three decades, we have witnessed the growth of Hong Kong’s public relations industry, enhancing standards, fostering connections, and elevating its international standing. The strong participation across diverse sectors including retail, government organisations, non-profit institutions, public utilities, theme parks, and real estate, makes Hong Kong’s PR community among the most dynamic and respected worldwide.” He also expressed gratitude to the 14 judges for their dedication and expertise.
Mr. George Yuen, Chief Judge and Vice Chairperson of the Awards Organising Committee, added, “Since its launch in 2010, the Hong Kong Public Relations Awards has witnessed the industry’s transformation from traditional publicity to a vital force in strategic communication and corporate decision-making. With rapid advances in digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI), PR has become central to building trust and influence. Despite the uncertainties, this year’s entries remain of high calibre — creative, well-structured, and human-centred — showcasing brand value and emotional connection. Such professionalism and passion continue to drive Hong Kong’s PR sector forward on the international stage.”
The 6th HKPRA featured 10 PR Campaign categories, including Brand/Reputation Management, Corporate Sustainability, and Cross-boundary Communications. A total of 32 awards were presented at the Awards Presentation Ceremony, including eight Gold Awards, twelve Silver Awards, nine Merit Awards and three Special Awards. Among them, the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort campaign received the Grand Award of Excellence, recognising it as this year’s most outstanding Gold Award winner, while the McDonald's Hong Kong’s case earned the Most Creative Campaign Award. Veteran public relations practitioner Mr. Bing Chung Lo was honoured with the Distinguished PR Professional Award, acknowledging his outstanding performance and significant contributions to the industry.
In the student category, the Future PR Rising Star Awards saw three proposals from Hong Kong Baptist University winning one Gold and two Silver Awards. A case from the Hong Kong Institute of Higher Education and Technology also received a Merit Award, encouraging aspiring young talents to pursue a career in public relations and supporting the development of the next generation of PR professionals.
PRPA extends heartfelt thanks to the 16 sponsors and partners whose generous support made this year’s event a resounding success.
